Our Programs

Creating stronger bonds, informed choices, and meaningful support for dogs and the people who love them.

Education. Advocacy. Opportunity. Connection.

How We Turn Compassion Into Action

At Tethered By Grace, every program begins with one belief: when people have trusted information, compassionate support, and meaningful opportunities, dogs and families can thrive together.

Our programs support individuals at many points in their journey—from preparing for life with a dog and navigating service dog decisions to pursuing education, advocacy, training, and therapeutic work.

Through scholarships, guidance, educational resources, partnerships, and community outreach, we are building a future rooted in responsible care, ethical stewardship, and stronger human-dog bonds.

Alexa Memorial Scholarship

Honoring a Legacy. Supporting a Future.

The Alexa Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of Alexa, a deeply loved Bernese Mountain Dog whose life and legacy remain at the heart of Tethered By Grace.

The scholarship supports individuals whose education, training, advocacy, therapeutic work, service-based goals, or community involvement will improve the lives of dogs and the people connected to them.

Recipients may use scholarship funding to help pursue opportunities such as:

  • Veterinary or animal-care education

  • Dog training and behavior education

  • Therapy or service dog work

  • Animal welfare and advocacy

  • Community education

  • Certifications, supplies, or related program expenses

Guided By Grace

Finding a service dog can feel overwhelming. Families may encounter confusing information, costly programs, unethical providers, and promises that are difficult to verify.

Guided By Grace helps individuals and families approach the process with greater confidence.

Through education, resources, and compassionate guidance, the program helps families better understand:

  • Service dog roles and expectations

  • Ethical breeders and reputable programs

  • Common scams and warning signs

  • Training options and program fit

  • Financial and long-term responsibilities

  • The importance of temperament, health, and lifestyle compatibility

  • Building a safe and successful working partnership

Tethered By Grace does not currently breed, train, place, or certify service dogs. Our role is to educate, support, and help families make more informed decisions.
