Thank you for supporting Tethered By Grace Inc. Your generosity helps us strengthen the bond between dogs and people through education, advocacy, scholarships, community outreach, and service dog resources.

Every contribution, regardless of size, makes a meaningful difference.

Our Commitment to Donors

Tethered By Grace Inc. is committed to:

  • Using donated funds responsibly and in support of our charitable mission.

  • Operating with integrity, transparency, and accountability.

  • Respecting the privacy of our donors.

  • Maintaining accurate financial records.

  • Complying with all applicable federal and state nonprofit laws.

How Donations Are Used

Unless otherwise designated by the donor, all gifts are considered unrestricted and may be used where the need is greatest to further the mission of Tethered By Grace Inc.

Donations may support:

  • The Alexa Memorial Scholarship

  • Guided By Grace Service Dog Support Program

  • Educational resources and community outreach

  • Website and resource development

  • Volunteer support

  • Program development

  • General operating expenses necessary to fulfill our mission

Restricted gifts designated for a specific program will be used for that purpose whenever practical and consistent with the organization's mission.

Tax-Deductible Contributions

Tethered By Grace Inc. is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Contributions are generally tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Please consult your tax advisor regarding your individual tax situation.

Donation Receipts

A donation receipt will be provided for every eligible contribution.

Receipts may be delivered electronically or by mail and will include:

  • Organization name

  • Donation date

  • Donation amount

  • Statement indicating whether goods or services were received in exchange for the contribution (if applicable)

Recurring Donations

Donors choosing recurring giving authorize recurring charges through the selected payment processor until the recurring donation is modified or canceled.

Recurring donors may update or cancel their recurring gift at any time by contacting us or by using the options provided through the donation platform.

Refund Policy

We greatly appreciate every donation and recognize that errors can occasionally occur.

Refund requests will be considered under the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate donations

  • Incorrect donation amounts entered in error

  • Unauthorized transactions

  • Technical or processing errors

Refund requests should be submitted within 30 days of the donation date.

Refunds are reviewed individually and, when approved, will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts

Donors may choose to make contributions in memory or in honor of an individual, family, or beloved pet.

If requested, Tethered By Grace Inc. will make reasonable efforts to notify the honoree or designated family that a gift has been made without disclosing the donation amount unless authorized by the donor.

Donor Privacy

Tethered By Grace Inc. values the trust of our supporters.

We do not sell, rent, or trade donor information.

Donor information is used solely for:

  • Processing donations

  • Issuing tax receipts

  • Providing donor communications

  • Keeping supporters informed about our mission and impact (when requested)

Designated Gifts

When donors designate a contribution to a specific program or campaign, Tethered By Grace Inc. will make every reasonable effort to honor that designation.

If the designated program has been fully funded, discontinued, or is no longer able to use the funds effectively, the Board of Directors reserves the right to redirect the donation to a closely related charitable purpose that best advances the organization's mission.

Matching Gifts

Many employers offer charitable matching gift programs.

We encourage donors to inquire with their employers to determine whether their gift may qualify for matching funds.

Securities and Non-Cash Gifts

Tethered By Grace Inc. may accept certain non-cash gifts, including securities or in-kind donations, at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

Acceptance of non-cash contributions will be evaluated based on their alignment with our mission, usefulness, administrative requirements, and any associated costs or liabilities.
