Advisory Council

The Tethered By Grace Advisory Council is a group of individuals who believe in our mission and bring valuable experience, knowledge, perspective, and community connections to our organization.

Advisory Council members serve as trusted resources to Tethered By Grace, offering guidance and insight as we develop programs, educational resources, partnerships, events, and opportunities to better serve dogs and the people who love them.

What Does an Advisory Council Member Do?

Advisory Council members may:

• Share professional knowledge, experience, or specialized expertise.

• Provide feedback and perspective on programs, resources, and new initiatives.

• Help identify community needs, opportunities, partnerships, and resources.

• Connect Tethered By Grace with individuals, businesses, organizations, or professionals who may support our mission.

• Serve as an ambassador for Tethered By Grace by helping others understand who we are and the work we do.

• Participate in occasional meetings or conversations when their experience or perspective would be helpful.

• Support events, educational efforts, fundraising, or community outreach when they are able.

• Help us continue learning, growing, and making thoughtful decisions that align with our mission.

A Flexible Way to Make a Difference

Unlike our Board of Directors, Advisory Council members do not oversee the governance or day-to-day operations of Tethered By Grace. Instead, they provide guidance, ideas, expertise, and connections that help strengthen our work.

We understand that our Advisory Council members have careers, families, organizations, and other commitments of their own. This role is designed to be flexible. Members can contribute in ways that best match their experience, interests, availability, and areas of expertise.

Most importantly, our Advisory Council helps ensure that Tethered By Grace continues to grow thoughtfully while staying focused on our mission of strengthening the bond between dogs and people through ethical stewardship, education, support, therapeutic work, and community connection.
