When we lost my first dog a few years ago, at 12 years old, I thought I was a ‘one and done’ dog person. Those end months were so incredibly difficult and my heart broke in a way I never could have expected. After time passed, life was maybe ‘easier’, but I realized one thing that changed my life and outlook on dogs. All the years we live with a dog is a blessing, and to not give another dog (and ourselves) that opportunity to love and bless again, is short-sighted. Shortly after, we found CWB online, and now have 2 amazing mini bernedoodles, that we can’t imagine living without. When I say I looked long and hard to find the right breeder, is probably an understatement, but after finding Jess, realized we found the best possible opportunity we could have asked for. 

 

I worked in Residential Property Management for about 12 years, and prior to that, was in Retail Management. I managed both apartments and condo associations, prior to retiring in 2022, to be able to spend time with my mom, and help with her day to day needs. People were the favorite thing about my jobs, and I look forward to that opportunity here as well. 

 

I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity, to play a participating role within Tethered by Grace. My passion is for all of us to understand the importance meeting your dog where they’re at, and being not only their best friend, but also their best advocate, all within the context of having that commitment and responsibility to do the best, both by and for them. So often people think that dogs are here for us, and overlook the inverse of that relationship. We need to be here for our dogs, understanding that extends beyond when they’re in our home, but rather it extends both before and after. Learning about ethical breeding practices, training opportunities, and finding a community and resources that you can continually learn from to benefit both your dog and yourself, all advances our relationship with our dogs. Tethered by Grace is an amazing resource for all those and I’m thrilled to be a part of this mission and purpose.
