My Story

Jessica Tritz is the Founder and President of Tethered By Grace Inc., where she combines a lifelong passion for dogs, education, and community service to strengthen the bond between people and their canine companions.

Born and raised in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing before beginning her career as a pediatric and medical-surgical nurse. Her nursing background instilled a deep commitment to compassionate care, evidence-based education, and advocacy—principles that continue to guide her work today.

After becoming a mother of six, Jessica made the decision to step away from nursing to focus on raising her family. During that season of life, she discovered a new calling through dogs. What began with raising a single litter from the family's beloved dog quickly grew into a lifelong mission dedicated to ethical breeding, puppy development, canine behavior, and supporting families through every stage of dog ownership.

Jessica is also the founder of Central Wisconsin Bernedoodles, an internationally recognized ethical breeding program built on health, temperament, early socialization, and lifelong support. Her nursing knowledge, combined with years of hands-on experience, has allowed her to develop one of the industry's most comprehensive puppy socialization and education programs. She has mentored countless families while helping shape best practices in responsible breeding and puppy development.

Through her work, Jessica recognized that dog owners often struggle to find trustworthy, evidence-based resources and meaningful support after bringing a dog home. That realization became the inspiration for Tethered By Grace.

As President, Jessica is committed to advancing the organization's mission of strengthening the bond between dogs and people through education, advocacy, ethical stewardship, therapeutic initiatives, and community connection. She believes every family deserves access to reliable information, compassionate support, and a community that celebrates responsible dog ownership.

Jessica's greatest passion is helping both people and dogs thrive together. Whether she's mentoring new dog owners, developing educational resources, collaborating with professionals, or building programs that create lasting impact, her goal remains the same: to improve the lives of dogs while empowering the people who love them.

When she's not leading Tethered By Grace or working with dogs, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, six children, and the incredible community of families who continue to inspire her every day.

"Live with heart. Lead with grace."
